Attack of the tooth fairy

Well the tooth fairy struck again. Yesterday while MacKenzie was in school, during her human body class no less, her second tooth fell out. MacKenzie saved her tooth in her lunch box and brought it home to put in her tooth fairy box in hopes that the tooth fairy would leave her some more money. As you can see in the pictures tooth #1 is coming in nicely. We are happy to say that the tooth fairy did stop and left MacKenzie a whole $2!!!! I wonder which tooth will be next.

The SOCEUR Birthday Ball

This year is SOCEUR's 51st birthday. This year they decided to have a formal dinner and night out. Rob and I went and had a great time. I thought that I would post the picture that we had taken so that you could see us all dressed up and everyone could see my growing belly. We had a lot of fun and it was very nice to get out just the two of us. We know we need to take advantage of any opportunities like this that come our way because come May we will have our hands full. It is very exciting becoming a family of four but we know that with a brand new baby our time will be full of baby duty and making sure that MacKenzie doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Fun with Ice

On Friday night MacKenzie and I finally got a chance to watch Rob play ice hockey. He has been playing with some of the guys from work in an adult league. After this game they had family skate time. MacKenzie couldn't wait to get on the ice and try her hand at ice skating for the first time. I of course did not ice skate. I am not that good at it normally, so being six months pregnant proabably wouldn't have been pretty.

MacKenzie had a great time. She did get tired of the skates after a while and took them off and opted to just slide around on the ice in her snow boots. We both had a good time and it was really nice to get the chance to see Rob out there on the ice even if they didn't win.

The Mystery Continues

Taking cues from its older sister the baby did not cooperate and let us find out what it was. We did get to see lots of great things. The baby's heart is beating very nicely and we could see all four chambers pumping. We saw hands, feet, legs, arms, toes, fingers, and the spine. Everything looked great. One thing that we got to see that we never saw with MacKenzie was the baby was sucking it's thumb. That was really cool. And the doctor commented on how active the baby is. Like she is telling me something that I already didn't' know. But for now the mystery continues. I go back to the doctor on March 3rd and hopefully someone will be in a more sharing mood. Today's Theme Song

So all day today I have been singing the song "Tomorrow" from the play Annie. Tomorrow is the day that we go for our big ultrasound. They will be looking at all of the babies organs and making sure that the baby is growing well. We are also hoping that we will be able to find out what we are having. We really don't care whether it is a boy or a girl as long as it is healthy. But we would like to start really coming up with a name for the baby and stop having to call it "it" or "the baby". There are also a lot of things that we are going to have to order over the internet so we would like to be able to start doing that. Please keep your fingers crossed for us an hope that this baby is not like MacKenzie. When we tried to find out what she was she was her stubborn self and we were not able to find out until the day she was born. I will update you when we find out.

Santa Was Here!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas to all. Santa came to the Swanson house and left lots of great goodie. MacKenzie is still amazed that Santa knows exactly what she wants even if she forgets to tell him. I love seeing Christmas through her eyes. Next year will be fun but I think that the Christmas after that will be fantastic. MacKenzie will still be amazed and the baby will be big enough to start to understand what is going on. It is going to be fun.

Santa brought MacKenzie lots of great gifts. Some of her favorite were her books on the human body, weather and bugs. She also received a human torso with removable organs (she has already mastered where they all go), lots of arts and crafts supplies, an idog, a lava lamp, and a building set. Santa was also very good to MacKenzie because he brought her a Casio keyboard. She has expressed interest in learning to play the piano. She can't wait to start learning. Our friend Alex knows how to play so she is going to teach MacKenzie. And a big thank you goes out to Grandpa for the great new bike. MacKenzie can't wait to get it out on the street and take it for a spin. Grannie and Poppie also send great gifts including a brand new bedding set for her new big girl bed. Now all we have to do is get the big girl bed and we are all set. All and all it was a very nice Christmas. We had a very nice day and spent the day enjoying each other. We hope that everyone had a wonderful day.
