I just had to add this video of Cameron singing. Today he was singing the Dora song so I taped him and wanted to load it up. When I sat at the computer he came to watch so I decided to see if I could get him to sing some other songs. If you have never heard of them the Jonas Brothers are a boy band of three brothers that sing pop songs. We really didn't know who they were until we went to the White House for Easter. While at the White house we were treated to a free Jonas Brothers concert. They are popular with MacKenzie's age group. They really aren't that bad. Well Cam as developed a fondness for them too now. So here he is singing two of their songs Year 3000 and That's Just the Way We Roll.

Six Flags America
Yesterday (Sunday) Rob and I loaded the kids in the truck and headed out for a secret adventure. We have found that the element of surprise is always worth the look on MacKenzie's face so we rarely tell her when we have something big planned. So off we went. First we stopped at a McDonald's in Maryland for lunch. As we pulled in the parking lot we yelled "SURPRISE!!! So what do you think?" MacKenzie was less than impressed and told us that this was no way her surprise. After lunch we got back in the truck and finished our journey. It took MacKenzie until we were turning in and she saw
this sign to figure out where we were headed. And she exclaimed "I knew it!!!!" How she "knew it" is beyond me since she had no idea that there was a Six Flags outside of New Jersey. Since there is a Six Flags in New Jersey and we plan on going up there to visit during the summer I got season passes for MacKenzie and myself. So after standing in line for at least an hour (probably closer to an hour and a half) we headed in. First stop was the carousel. Kenzie had her animal
all picked out before we were even ready to get on. It took Cam a l
ittle bit to totally under stand what was going on but after that he had a blast. After that we split up.
Rob took Kenzie to a little roller coaster and I took Cam on a car ride. Then we headed into a activity where there are millions of foam balls. There are tons of air cannons that you can shoot the balls all over and suction hoses that move the balls around. Cameron fell in love with one machine that you load the balls in to the bottom and then push a button and it sucks the balls up and shoots them into the air and they come raining down on you. I only had to show him once how this worked then he was off. Collecting as many balls as his little
arms could carry and loading up the tank and finally pushing the button
then starting all over again. After a while we were ready to move on to the next ride but Cam was not. I had to physically remove him from the building. For those who don't know Cam all that well this is a shock. He is usually a very obedient kid. If I call him to go he usually follows. But after I got him out a royal tantrum
happened. It was a sight. Next we headed on to another car ride. This one we could all go on together. There was a bottom enclosed spot for the kids and then a higher section for us to ride behind them. Rob and I were crammed in our little car like sardines
. But we did it with a smile because we love our kids.
After a bit more wandering around a few more rides we found a boat ride that Kenzie and I went on. My memory must be messed up. I thought that the riders in the boat only got a little wet and that the soaking came from standing on the bridge where the boat came down at but I was sadly mistaken. Note to self never ever ride a water ride with jeans on. I was soaked. And to make things worse you had to cross the bridge to exit. Kenzie and I hauled butts to get across that bridge before the tidal wave hit but we didn't make it. I was soaked all the way through. Not a fun time when it is only 75 degrees out. It was warm but not warm enough to dry denim. We had a great day and are planning on going back to try out the water park as soon as it gets hot enough. Kenzie and I were still soaked when we got to the car so I had her take her shirt off and just put her coat that I had thrown in the car in case of emergency. And as for me I road all the way home without my jeans on. Luckily I had a sweatshirt and Cameron's car seat blanket to cover me up and keep me warm. Next time I will take everyone a change of clothes. Needless to say it was a very quiet ride home. We figured that Cam would fall asleep but we were shocked to see who else passed out!
You know it was a good day when they look like that five minutes into the car ride home.

A boy and his cat.

Since we don't have a dog Cameron had chose the next best thing for his best bud. He absolutely loves our cat Heffe(pronounced hef-fae). And it seems that Heffe is fond of him.
This afternoon while in the guest room on the computer Heff came in and hopped in the doll stroller. I called Cam in and he pushed Heffie (as Cam calls him) around. That stinkin cat just laid there. He even gave Cam a big kiss when
Cam kissed him. Sometimes that cat can be so good.

Miss MacKenzie Dianne
Last weekend I took MacKenzie with me to Ikea.
While we were there they had free facing painting. Kenzie was so excited. So here she is showing off her pretty face.
I wish we could afford to have this lady come to the kids birthday party she was great.
