Swanson's on Ice

I know I have been going crazy with the slideshows lately but we have been busy doing things where I have been taking lots of pictures that I want to share. Doing the slideshows makes it easier to put a bunch of pictures online at once.

On Friday we had Family Skate Night at the rink where Rob plays ice hockey. We had a blast. MacKenzie started off using the skate buddies (the gnome she was holding on to). And then she decided to try to skate on her own. Off she went. It was really amazing how well she did considering it was only her second time on ice skates. And if skating on her own was not enough she decided to throw in a few spins. I have to say she has no fear. Cameron enjoyed being on the ice in his stroller. I decided to strap on a pair of skates myself and go for a spin. That was also my second time skating. The only other time I was on ice skates was back when I was a teenager and that was for maybe 20 minutes. I didn't do to bad. I really enjoyed myself. We all had a great time and are looking forward to the next Family Skate in March.

First Snow!!!!

Yesterday afternoon I heard a weather alert on the radio saying that they were forecasting 8 to 10 inches of snow over night. I really didn’t believe that we would get that much but I was wrong. Last night it started to lightly snow before we went to bed. I ran outside to get a few pictures. I needed to write Cam’s first snow in the snow so I could use it for scrap booking. Boy I am glad that I did. When we woke up there was tons and tons of snow. We maybe not tons but it looks like somewhere around 6 to 8 inches with no sign of stopping. While the American kids got to have a snow day the German kids still had to go to school. So I bundled up the kids and strapped Cameron in his sled and off to school we went. I thought it was going to be easy but the snow was very soft and deep. I am not sure that Cam knew what to think about the snow. He just kept looking up to the sky watching the snow come down. Buy the time we got home he was a little babycicle. Rob made it to work and called a little after 1100 hrs to say that he was coming home. We will pick Kenzie up from school and then stop at the CX. After that I am sure that my two oldest kids (Rob and Kenzie) will hit the hill and go sledding.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth

The day after Christmas I got a surprise. Cameron was sucking on my finger when I felt something strange. After a little investigating I found that his first tooth has broken through his gums. We had been suspicious that teeth were coming but we always seemed to be wrong. Well not this time. Then two days later I was checking out his new tooth and found out that he had a friend. Yes that is right we are cutting two teeth at once. Things are too bad. Night time is the worst but with a little Orajel he calms back down. And please excuse the messy face I was feeding him breakfast when I saw the perfect opportunity to get a shot of the two new teeth.
