What a Day!!

Well I am exhausted! We just got back from the White House Egg Roll. Yesterday when we came back from our weekend trip to my parents house there was a message from a friend of ours saying he had four tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll. We couldn't pass up the opportunity. We had a great time. The kids got to do the Easter Egg Roll, the Easter Egg Hunt, they dyed Easter Eggs, rolled down the hill in front of the White House, watched the Jonas Brothers concert and just had a great time. I was just as excited if not more than the kids.

So things here are slowly getting where we want. I have been painting and rearranging and trying to decorate. But all of that has taken a back seat to the far back corner of our yard. For Christmas we asked Grandpa (Rob's Dad) for a swing set for the kids. So we finally sat down and decided which one we wanted and it is being delivered tomorrow. Rob's dad is driving down next Sunday to spend time with us during Kenzie's spring break and to help us put the swing set together. So today we worked on the spot for the kids play yard. We still have a bit more work to do and I forgot to take a picture of our progress today but I will post a picture of what we are starting with. Next Saturday we are renting a chain saw and a tiller to get that one last tree that is taunting us and level the ground before we lay weed paper and rubber playground mulch. It is a lot of work but we are sorta happy to do it.

Can you believe how big he is getting. Let me tell you life with a 1 1/2 year old little boy is very interesting, much different from when Kenzie was little!!!

Singing in the Rain

Today is it is raining. This afternoon after we picked Kenzie up from school we were heading in the house when I turned to see where Cam was, he was standing in the yard just amazed. He seemed so into the rain that I decided that I would lossen the mommy strings. I told Kenzie to go in and get her rain boots on and I put Cam's on him and gave them both umbrellas and sent them out to have some fun. They had a blast splashing and running up and down the sidewalk with their rain boots on. As



Oh to be a kid and be able to splash in the puddles and not worry about the mess you are making. Needless to say I made them leave their boots outside so they didn't bring mud in my house.

On Friday MacKenzie brought home her first real American school report card. They did send one home for her for the first marking period but there were no grades because she was only in this school for eight days. We are very happy to report that she did fantastic on her report card and her grades are as follows:

Reading~A
Writing~B+
Mathematics~B
Social Studies~A
Science~B

And for all of the rest of the "Specialites" Art, Gym, Music, Handwriting, Technology, Work Habits, Listening, Oral Language, and Conduct she got a S which stands for Adequatley Meets Objectives.

The teacher's note was also very possitive and said that the only problem was that because she sat close to the area where the other reading groups met MacKenzie became a little bit distracted from her work trying to see what was going on with them. The teacher moved her seat and said that it seemed to help. Yesterday she brought home her certificate

because she was on the A/B Honor Roll. We are so very proud of her and hope that she continues to do well. As a reward for her we bought her a new book and I took her with me when I went to get my nails done and let her get her nails painted. Johnny, the guy that does my nails, told her that if she got all A's next time that he would do her finger and her toes. She is very excited and hopes to get all A's next time.

Where does the time go

Three months ago my sister gave birth to the tinniest little pumpkin. Today Kaitlyn is grow like a weed and thriving. She is now over 8 lbs and thriving. Meg said that the other day Kaitlyn started to smile. I can't wait to see pictures of her smiling.
