Hunting for Ghosts and Bats

You never know what the kids will come up with and where they get their ideas from. A few weeks ago we were all sitting down to dinner when Cameron kept talking about ghosts and bats. I have no clue where this came from we haven't been reading any books or watching any shows with them in it but whatever. So he just kept going on and on about how it was dark outside and that he wanted to go hunting for ghosts and bats, ghosts and bats. So after we were all done dinner and I was cleaning up and Cameron mentioned it for the millionth time I told him to go grab his Crocs, suit, hat, and flashlight and I told Kenzie to do the same. It may have been a little cold but at least it made him happy. So after bundling them up I sent them out into the dark backyard. Kenzie didn't want to go because she has herself convinced that there is someone out there that is going to steal her. But I made her go anyway. Then she tried to convince me to leave the light on. Now what fun would that be. How are you going to search for ghosts and bats with a flashlight with the light on? So after a little nudge they went off the deck into the side yard. They spent a good 15-20 minutes out there. Cameron was very happy that he got to hunt for ghosts and bats. You just never know what he is going to come up with next.
